Can you repair an aluminium Apple extended keyboard?

edited September 2011 in General
I spilled water on my keyboard and didn't let it dry properly before plugging it back in. Now the bottom two rows don't function. Is it dead dead? Or fixable dead?

("aluminium" for Mr. Ives.)

  • Sorry, but you're screwed.

The fact that a whole row doesn't work is a pretty good indication that you've fried some of the electronics, and there's no fix for that that I am aware of. Or one that is worth the time and effort, anyway. You might want to let it sit for a few days to try out completely, and see if that makes a difference.

It might be time to buy that fancy new wireless keyboard you've been looking at!
  • The wireless is what I'm using now. the one I bought when thinking I'd write more on my iPad.
